Effective date: 16 August 2026
In short: Medicine Cabinet collects no data from you. Your medicines, photos and reminders are stored only on your own device, and in your own iCloud account if you have iCloud turned on. The developer has no access to this data.
The Medicine Cabinet app is developed by Yüksel Şişe. Contact: eczadolabi@yukselsise.com
The app connects to no server operated by the developer. The developer has no database, no analytics infrastructure and no account system.
None of this data is sent to the developer or to any third party.
If iCloud is on, the app syncs your data through Apple's CloudKit service in the private area of your own iCloud account. That data sits on Apple's infrastructure under Apple's privacy terms; the developer has no access to it.
If you turn iCloud off, the app keeps working fully offline.
If you share a cabinet with a family member, its contents become available to the people you invite through Apple's CloudKit sharing mechanism. The shared data sits in the iCloud account of the person who started the sharing; it does not use the invitees' iCloud storage quota, and participants access the owner's records. Only you decide whom to invite, and you can end the sharing at any moment. The data never passes through the developer's systems during this process either.
In the background the app only receives Apple's silent sync notifications; these keep the shared cabinet current and turn a missed dose into a notification on the other device. No marketing notifications are sent.
Location, microphone, contacts, calendar and health data (including Apple Health) are never requested. No advertising identifier is used.
Expiry and dose reminders are scheduled locally on your device. Notification content does not come from a server.
To find a medicine's name from its barcode, the app carries a fully offline lookup table. The table is built from the public Licensed Medicinal Products for Human Use list published by Türkiye's medicines authority, TİTCK (Turkish Medicines and Medical Devices Agency), is included in the app and is refreshed with app updates. Barcode lookups never go online. Medicine Cabinet is not an official TİTCK product and has no ties to TİTCK.
Requests under Türkiye's Personal Data Protection Law (KVKK, Law no. 6698) can be sent to eczadolabi@yukselsise.com. Since the developer holds no data about you, the answer will usually be "there is no data about you in the records".
Medicine Cabinet is not aimed at children and does not knowingly collect data from them. The app does not collect personal data from any user. You can write a person's name on a reminder; that name never leaves your device and your own iCloud account.
If this policy changes, the current version is published on this page and the effective date is updated. If a substantial change happens, such as starting to collect data, you will be informed inside the app.
